Oneplus 6T Micro Sd Card Support3/22/2021
IMO, a phone greatly benefits from either a notification LED or always-on display. You have an Always On screen this time (was removed from 6 due to battery drain issues).
Larger memory and ram (if you get 256gb version, otherwise its same). A bit larger screen but shittier resolution. Better CPU (people say its much better than 835 but it actually isnt THAT much). My phone seems to be slowing down and Im forced to reset to fectory default every couple months to bring it back up to speed. Not to mention the battery life isnt great and only seems to be getting worse. I use it to play music while Im delivering parts to accounts, but thats maybe 1hour of use at most. Sprint uses its own cell bands that arent compatible with this phone. Not the least of which is for photographers who need to quickly move large photos between devices. My workflow in the field has me taking thousands of RAW photos on heavy equipment, transferring them to a laptop for processing and transferring them to a phone for easy syncing to the could so they can be used immediately by collaborators. Workaroundscables are very error-prone and add additional time that I dont have. Micro SD cards are also very unreliable, as many have found out the hard way. Iam a fan of nokia but if even they continue to follow the unifinished notch trend i will be away from them too. I guess I understand some of the frustration about the headphone jack, given OnePlus stance in the past, but get over it. They provide an adapter, and frankly, unless the phone has an FM receiver (which I do like) wireless is the way to go anyway. Some of the other phones mentioned (like the Pocophone) are functionally useless as phones in the U.S because of poor carrier bandwidth support. Im not a fan of notches, but this little teardrop is almost nothing. Compare this to the 1000 Pixel 3xls huge notch.). Higher screen resolution (kinda ridiculous on a tiny screen like a phone) is a significant battery hit, meaning a bigger battery or faster drain. My 42 TV is still only FHD, which is getting dated, but this still looks pretty amazing when shrunk to 6. I must admit Im disappointed about the removal of the notification LED. With the flared-out teardrop shape, I think they could have squeezed it in.
